Tandus' environmental and social responsibility incorporates a culture of corporate
accountability for its actions as a company and its impact on the world and its
environment. The company is committed to a holistic program of sustainable initiatives
that are focused on developing solutions to protect the environment for current
and future generations and creating a better quality of life for mankind and all
other living species. Specific core programs are dedicated to continual improvement
and measurement of energy and resource utilization, air and water quality, and GOAL
ZERO agendas for waste and emissions.
Infinity Initiative – the industry's only true closed-loop (carpet
into carpet) reclamation and recycling program.
ER3 100% recycled content backing – (Environmentally Redesigned,
Restructured, Reused) the world's first 100% recycled content backing made in a
closed loop recycling process.
FLOORE – Tandus' buy-back program where we'll purchase your old
vinyl-backed carpet, even if it's our competitor's and guarantee that 100 percent
of it will be recycled into new floorcoverings.
Environmental claims adhere to FTC Guides (FTC)
Environmental Claims are third-party certified by Scientific Certification Systems
(SCS).
Tandus is the only company in the industry earning the esteemed Environmentally
Preferable Product (EPP) designation for its entire modular product line.
Sustainability Warranty – guarantees that 100 percent of old vinyl-backed
carpet will be recycled and not landfilled or incinerated.
